Better than a frame bag

I already owned a Moosepacks handlebar bag, when I decided that I needed more storage on long rides. Rides of more than 200 miles require additional lights- and the ability to charge them. It’s also nice to be able to retrieve snacks while riding. So I purchase the top tube bag from Moosepacks- to match my handle bar bag. And I love this little bag. It’s well made, as expected- but it is also thoughtfully made. Like the handlebar bag, there are many places to locate the Velcro attachment straps- so you can configure them in a way that best suits your bike. Inside there is a divider- so you can keep the bag organized- for me it means I have a dedicated place for my phone- where it will not bounce out of a Jersey pocket, but I can easily get to it while riding. But my favorite feature of this bag, is the covered opening in the front, where you can slip out a charging cable. This means that you can run a usb cable from a battery stored in the bag- out to your handlebars, so you can charge a gps or light while on the move. Or if you happen to have a Garmin battery pack hanging from your handlebars, then you can run a cable the other way, and charge your phone while you ride. The other reason I really like this bag is because I have a small frame, and even a small frame bag hangs in the way of my front water bottle, making it difficult to get in or out. This bag sits out of the way and is easy to get to. This is a great little bag.
